Week 1, post trial

[You know what you need after a really bad no good day?

A shopping trip. They are now fortunately both dry, and maybe in some semblance of decent clothing but now they need real clothing for sure.

Their ungulate life is making it hard.]

[Mostly dry: it takes a little while longer to dry goat hair than it does regular hair and to change clothing, so quite unfortunately there's still a bit of damp goat life following them into the premises. It's fine, even if it really does underline the ungulate problem.

Katan has been dipping into the clothing store here and there just for everyday wear, but his jacket had been a general staple, so now that he has to replace it, well... He looks around a little uncertainly.]

...Hm. I think rather than white, I'll go for black this time.

[Nala's hair is free of her bonnet and she is even walking around sans stockings and shoes. They clearly couldn't be saved. Her hair is as thick and curly as ever, hanging damply across her shoulders. Save her from this hell. She's in the purple jacket Reiju picked out for her once upon a time (it was only this week Nala)]

[Katan is just in a simple dress shirt at the moment, he probably has something on over the goat legs like shorts or bloomers or something picturing this is cracking me up either way. He's trying. Attempts are being made. Without his jacket he probably had to make allowances for goat tail pants opening too but anyway.

[Can't believe we're having him cosplay Castiel Supernatural. He does not have enough stubble or grizzled gruff for this whatsoever but he does cut a svelte figure in a longcoat either way so it's not a total waste.....

He nods, after throwing it on -- there's like a dramatic flare of fabric and everything because sometimes you're just naturally dramatic even without intending to be. That's the angel life. Probably.]

[Part of it is simply the personal aesthetic and part of it is knowing how to wear it. It is pretty surprising how many immortals just have no sense of it at all, so good for her.]

If we can anticipate any changes, we may be able to head it off before more deaths happen. I'd like to work towards that.

Nala smiles, a little smugly, as she searches for a pair of gloves. For all she admired the claws of other people, she has never been comfortable with showing off her own. Oh a pair black leather ones will do nicely.

She rifles through the racks, picking out some more clothes. She's also shopping for Hyunjung who...doesn't seem to have much style at all, but that's ok.]

Well, before any more changes happen, I would like to return to normal first. I am sick of my heart racing a mile a minute every time there's so much as a 'bang'. I imagine the others feel the same.

Both are important aspects, no matter where you go.

[Aspects of fashion, aspects of life... even among the angels, and this is where I note that like all the Angel Sanctuary designs are based on J-pop so you know. Close enough.

He drifts over to glance at the gloves while she's looking, but ultimately ends up also looking at clothes. It doesn't take long to realize that she's not shopping for herself, and he's more-or-less fine unless he wants more back-ups (probably a good idea); so the style right now... Hmm. Good luck, Hyunjung. He can try and round out the selection since they have relatively different tastes in clothing.]

And while we don't even have our usual ways of defending myself. I'm not used to my reaction time being this bad, while having no senses at all to sniff things out before they can get to me.

60s...... Hyunjung living Back to the Future-style (wrong decade but correct concept)... Katan will add some slightly more subdued streetwear that he's seen The Youths™ in Tokyo favor -- he doesn't really get it but it's similar to what some angels enjoy (but not as extreme).]

I think normally even animals would have better senses than this -- that said, supernatural senses would have been a lot more helpful in this situation.

[Yeah, for both of them. If he could just start following all these unraveling threads of curse flavoring and whatnot... they'd at least get somewhere.]

It's a general term for those who can wield the arcane. We have many categories...more than I can name. I'm...not something that either arcanists or humans look fondly upon.

W2: Post-trial (Room 302)

[It takes a while for Katan to get back in -- in the aftermath of that trial (did it really merit that name, at the end of the day? though perhaps Nala and Ramuda would feel differently, and a few other people too), it seemed more prudent to look around, and he needed to stretch his legs on top of that.

That, and he's never kept very normal hours even after he came here.

Either way, he'll be in the apartment in the early morning, settled into the living room with a pot of tea and his notes. Though, he isn't really writing anything. It rather seems as though he's just flipping aimlessly over a beverage, kind of like Wednesday.]

[ Nala is hiding in Hyunjung's room, jumping and flinching at shadows. She feels like she's being hunted all over again and is unable to sleep. She creeps out in the late hours ot the day when she's sure everyone is asleep and--]

Later in the evening after the trial, or perhaps early the next morning, Nala (or her roommate) will find a small bag left on the doorknob outside addressed to her. It'll contain a pair of elbow-length black silk gloves; they're simple, but there's a pattern of light silver embroidery on them, curly.]
